My wife landed an interview with AirAsia for a job opening. To narrow down the candidate pool, AirAsia required each applicant to submit an "About Me" video for the next round of shortlisting. Given that AirAsia receives thousands of applications for each position, I knew I had to do something unique to help my wife ace the interview. That's when an idea hit me: instead of her simply talking about herself, why not have her sing it?
The video was recorded during lockdown, and we didn't have any specialized equipment. Our resources were limited to an iPhone 11 Pro and my Mac. We shot the entire video on the iPhone, with lyrics collaboratively written by both of us. The vocals were captured using the voice memo feature on the iPhone.
Did she get the job? Yes. Yes she did.
